Mr. Patrick Wilson, Mr. Dan Velte, Mrs. Elizabeth Dilullo Brown, Mr. Brent Stahlnecker,

I’m writing to you in your positions as CEO, VP of Operations, EVP & Chief Marketing & Business Relations Officer, and Senior Director of Risk Management respectively.

I would like to bring to your attention individuals profiteering from the Little League Trademark by entities not affiliated with Little League. The incorporated entity “Tulsa Little League Inc.” that currently holds facility contracts with the city of Tulsa and county of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has put the Little League trademark at risk. This organization is not affiliated with Little League, however is owned by Steve Skocik, who also serves as President of a separate entity, “Tulsa National Little League” (2 emails attached). “Tulsa Little League Inc.” is currently under investigation by the city attorney of Tulsa and the Tulsa County Parks & Rec department (both CC’d on this email) for failure to pay utility bills for ten years and failure to file federal taxes for at least five years, among other illegalities. “Tulsa Little League Inc.” had also allowed their facility insurance to lapse for a brief period of time (email thread attached with Steve Skocik), causing a possible liability risk for Little League due to the affiliation by name and that District 1 Oklahoma Little League does not appear to be incorporated. At the same time, “Tulsa Little League Inc.” rents facilities to many programs that are not affiliated with Little League, as detailed in these emails.

I am copying in this email an attorney who is investigating “Tulsa Little League Inc.” and is researching legal options to hold “Tulsa Little League Inc.” accountable for their negligence over the past decade (another email attached). This research may also indicate that Mindy Abbott (current Oklahoma District 1 District Administrator) is most likely involved because Steve Skocik is listed as her lone staff member, as Safety Officer for Oklahoma District 1.

Additional profiteering can be traced to the company “GameReady Tulsa”, which is owned by three parents associated with the Tulsa National Little League Softball program, two of which are coaches. A GoFundMe page (https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-team-oklahoma-chase-their-world-series-dream) was established by Marcus Metcalf, one of the owners of GameReady, with the beneficiary of Andrea Frisby, wife of an owner of “GameReady Tulsa”, to assist the Tulsa National Little League Softball team with travel expenses to the World Series. What is not mentioned is that all coach and player travel expenses to the World Series are already paid for by Little League International’s General Little League Operating Fund (https://www.littleleague.org/impact/). Jonathan Arias, also an owner of “Game Ready Tulsa” and Manager of the Tulsa National Little League softball team, has been sent a Cease and Desist letter from Iowa Premier Softball and legal action is underway to prevent his involvement with PGF Softball programs in the future. In addition, two of the coaches of the Tulsa National Softball team, Christina Hood and Nathan Frisby who is also an owner of “GameReady Tulsa”, are High School coaches/administrators in the greater Tulsa area, exercising their influence with this team. An official complaint has been sent to Hilldale school district alleging Nathan Frisby of misconduct and abuse of power (also attached to this email). All of these adults have been profiteering from their ESPN exposure in the Greenville, NC World Series. Please also note that nine of the ten players from this year’s Tulsa National Little League Softball team are league age 11, so this will become an issue yet again next year when they are league age 12.

Not only is “Tulsa Little League Inc.” monopolizing the local Tulsa youth baseball and softball markets with questionable business structures, they are also bullying chartered leagues that actually want to run legitimate Little League programs across the entire state of Oklahoma. A recent conference call between Deer Creek Little League, a Pottawatomie County Little League, and Dan Velte, took place without representation from Tulsa National Little League nor Oklahoma District 1. During the call, Dan Velte sided with the unrepresented Steve Skocik and Mindy Abbot and has empowered the two to continue their existing behavior in alienating the rest of the dedicated Oklahoma Little League volunteers throughout the state. This alienation is also preventing additional leagues from being formed, in direct violation of Little League’s “Grow the Game” initiative. Deer Creek and Pottawatomie volunteers have been slandered by multiple Little League officials to the point where even local residents and municipalities are following suit, exacerbating the public impression that the Little League trademark represents an unregulated, corrupt organization from top to bottom. Adding to the negative public impression, Sam Ranck (Senior Director of Strategy and Development), has personally spent time in Oklahoma City, helping to charter a non-standard league for the Oklahoma City Parks & Rec department. When looking at PlayLittleLeague.org, the Oklahoma City Parks & Rec Little League boundary clearly overlaps and encroaches upon Deer Creek Little League, raising questions about how this was allowed to happen and who is truly running Oklahoma District 1.

Cease and Desist letters have been sent from Little League international to protect the Little League trademark in the past, some for valid reasons. I’m sure you don’t need a reminder of any of them, since most of the recipients of these letters have not even come close to the egregious violations that Steve Skocik has made under the supervision of Mindy Abbott. These instances of profiteering by multiple adults in Oklahoma identified here requires attention from those who protect the Little League trademark as has been done in the past by Little League International.

The data in this email has been shared with members of the media, who will be reporting on this story in the near future and may expose all of the adults that have participated in these profiteering and collusion efforts within the Little League hierarchy.

I hope the Risk Management team at Little League has been informed of the trademark violations exercised by the individuals referenced above and that Little League chooses to defend their trademark before Little League is forced to do so by the media and/or the legal system.

Sincerely,

Anonymous Little League Volunteer & Concerned Citizen

To Whom It May Concern:

We, the Board of Deer Creek Little League, formally protest the eligibility of “Team Oklahoma” registered under Tulsa National Little League (for the 3rd time) and request immediate investigation and disqualification from postseason tournament play per Little League International regulations. This protest is supported by substantial evidence of multiple violations, outlined below.

Rules Violations

  1. Residency & Boundary Compliance (Regulation II(a))

Players must reside or attend school within Tulsa National Little League (TNLL) boundaries, or, with waivers approved by the Charter Committee prior to Tournament play/ June 1,2025. No such waivers were sought.

  1. Tournament Eligibility (Regulation IV(g) & Tournament Rule 3)

Players must participate in at least eight regular-season games unless exempted, and teams must not include ineligible participants.

  1. Roster Violation (Regulation V Selection of Players)

Teams are not permitted to enter the Little League program intact, or nearly intact, from non-Little League programs. Under no circumstances will any team or group of players, which did not play on the same team for the previous regular season in the same division of a chartered local Little League, be placed together onto a regular season team in that local Little League.

Teams must not consist of nearly intact travel ball rosters recruited for tournament play without previous season, regular-season participation, such as USSSA Premier 2013 Futures.

  1. Operating Policies and Positions

No officer or board member of a Little League and no District Administrator or other representative of a group of Little Leagues shall, at the same time, hold office or be a member of the Board of any other youth baseball/softball league or function as an official representative of such program.

District Administrator, Mindy Abbott uses her position on the State level to amplify her power within her own league of Tulsa. As documented in an audio recording on

  1. Player Selection and Draft Methods

Tulsa National solicits top players across the state for post season play. I

Tulsa National Little League does not use any of the required Little League Draft methods, per the 2025 rule book. The entirety of Coach Jonoathan Arias’ nearly-intact travel ball team was allowed to enter TNLL as a team.

Furthermore, the team then circumvented a second process for All-Star selection, with all the players from Coach Jonathan Arias’ travel ball team being “selected” as “All Stars.”

Roster Eligibility Violations

Per Little League® International Tournament Rules and Guidelines, players must meet residency (Regulation II(a)) or school attendance criteria (Regulation II(d)),participate in regular-season play (Regulation IV(g)) and participated in Regulation Little League Draft methods, having not joined as nearly intact team from a non-LL ptogram. (5 of the 10 have played with Jonathan Arias since the age of 5 uninterrupted to today intact)
  • Evidence: USSSA roster links included above, player profiles, and tournament participation records.

Additional Conduct and Violation

  • Oklahoma District Administrator, Mindy Abbott in an audio recorded conversation with immediate past Asst District Administrator, Kenneth Crawford speaks blatantly about the steps she takes to give Tulsa National the advantage at post season tournament play.
  • Mindy Abbott talks directly about contacting travel ball teams with elite players. Specifically mentioning recruiting from the town of Moore,OK over 2 hours outside the TNLL boundary line.
  • Teams out of TNLL do not participate in drafts or standard Little League regulations, per Mindy Abbots statements.
  • Players are recruited without any regard for eligibility, and signed off on by Mindy Abbott.

Impact & Request

These violations, spanning eligibility, roster integrity, and conduct, severely undermine Little League’s fairness and community play standards, denying eligible players their rightfully earned opportunities. The written admittance from Jami Littlejohn further confirms intentional rule-breaking, amplifying the need for accountability. We request:

  • Immediate investigation into TNLL’s 2025 softball registrations, including Sports Connect records to prove registration dates and team formulation (registering a nearly intact travel ball team), circumventing Little League required draft.
  • Immediate investigation into TNLL’s 2025 softball team leadership, including JD Palantine records to prove background check dates and team formulation (must be completed prior to a first regular season practice session).
  • Disqualification of “Team Oklahoma” from all 2025 postseason play.
  • Disciplinary action against District Administrator Mindy Abbott, for misconduct – facilitating ineligible player and team registrations and personal drafting of players and teams for a local LL under her authority (Conflict of Interest Regulations).
  • Disciplinary action against Tulsa National Little League for continued conduct facilitating ineligible player and team registrations.
  • Disciplinary action against Southwest Regional Director, Blaine Whitmire for failure to investigate the provided information and failure to report the evidence he was provided to the tournament committee as requested by his District Administrators and Coaches since the beginning of the regional tournament in Waco, Texas.

Enclosures: Supporting evidence files (screenshots, affidavits, property records, USSSA Premier team roster, Jami Littlejohn statement, Audio recording/youtube link of Mindy Abbott stating how she illegally solicits players for post season play).

Sincerely,

Kelsey Looman

Tulsa National Building All Star Teams… Listen To The Game Plan!

Per your request here is a recap of the Oklahoma Major Baseball State Tournament.

1.  On July 1, 2024 we presented our Team Affidavit Binder to the State Director Mindy Abbott for review and signatures. We had our signatories present to sign their sections in her presence. She took the binder, placed it on the ground and moved into a 20 minute explanation of her team, her league and why it was they did not have to wear matching uniforms or have individual numbers. She then took the binder and said she would be at the protest table as she is the protest committee. Post the games she returned our binder to us without having signed anything. She laughed and said that had we won we would’ve been disqualified , we in turn insisted that our signatures would be recorded in her presence and she stated, “Your boys are going nowhere that isn’t needed.” We insisted and signed our portions in her presence and one of the board members directly asked her to sign her portions. The only item she signed was the cover page of the affidavit and nowhere else.

2. It was very clear from the beginning of Game 1 that the 4 umpires, the Tournament Director & Tulsa National LL President Steve Skocik or the State Director did not know  Little League rules as a multitude of regulation and rule violations were occurring and were not being corrected. After at least 5 game stoppages for the umpires to conference and in turn have me advance to the protest table headed by the State Director Mindy Abbott who in turn refused to enforce Little League rules or take any further action. She claimed she did not believe there were any violations. Even when citing exact rule violations from the rule book for being out of the batter’s box, leaving base too soon or bat handling issues – on deck batter etc she stated that those were not violations. When asked for further appeal she said that there was none – period.

3.  Immediately post games and the binder issues with Mindy Abbott a faction of our DC LL Board very directly protested the games to Mindy Abbott and her son who was 1 of the 4 umpires. This protest lasted for longer than 20 minutes and was joined by Tournament  Director/Tulsa National President Skocik and the head umpire who all insisted they followed all rules including calling outs for leaving the base too soon in the last inning. Both Mindy Abbott and Steve Skocik stated that they did not have any right to appeal anything that occurred in either game as they concluded no rules were violated.  We asked about appealing further and we’re told we did not have that right as it is all a judgement call by the umpires and them as the heads of the Tournament. One of our coaches, Shane Terry, then asked one final time with the rule book in hand why Little League rules were not enforced and Steve Skocik with Mindy Abbott stated they did not have to follow that book. They have been doing this for 20 years and they know the rules. He held the book up again and said maybe you need to read the current rules, to which they said they do not have to.  I then intervened and asked my board and coach to stop protesting as it was clear they were going to do nothing.

No one up there (Tulsa) knew any Little League rules. None of our affidavit binder was signed but 1 page after the game as we were told by the State Director that our boys were never going anywhere so it wasn’t necessary, no matching uniforms , repeating number sets 4 number 4’s, 2 number 5’s, no lineup sheets – in fact they refused to give us a lineup sheet, 4 Umpires not one of them knew a single little league rule, bat boy, not one on deck better but Multiple on deck batters, runners leading off the base, runners leaving early, batters constantly out of the batters box, metal cleats, stickers on their helmets for home runs, etc., jewelry, lots of jewelry, sword fighting in the dugout with bats, batting out of order, five coaches in the dug out, players constantly coming and going from the dugout, no access to the score book, no ability to appeal, no ability to protest, 4/5 of the way through the second game they suddenly started calling outs for the runners leaving the base too soon as the third base coach was telling our coaches he was just trying to get this over with to not embarrass us further with full support of the president of the league who was the tournament Director and State Director who answers to him.

Our scorekeeper was finally able to obtain a partial lineup sheet after the first game was over and then after game 2 – 1 complete lineup sheet because 3 members of our Board of Directors were present and we insisted that the scorekeeper be provided copies. They literally said we didn’t need them. It took one trip to Tulsa to know why there are no sustainable Little Leagues in Oklahoma. They make it impossible if they control the state to make it through them.  The State Director answers to their board president and they’re all in cahoots together. The team that they have now are 14 top elite USSSA hand, selected and recruited players. They come from nine squads and they are recruited by the state Director Who works with the head coaches from these various teams, It is the All-Stars of USSSA. It is all on recording as she brags about how she puts the teams together.

The fundamental basis for pitching rules encompass the totality of the 2024 Rulebook to protect our youth. The Rulebook acknowledges through its cover to cover reading circumstances where a Little League player may and does participate in outside baseball play. (ex., p57 Note 1) It is our belief that the pitchers that were used had participated in a multitude of outside USSSA and tournament games. Tulsa National players participated in travel Tournaments from Friday 6/28-6/30/24 and many had significant mound time according to the USSSA Player profile records and GameChanger. We believe that No Circumstances means no circumstances particularly since the Rulebook addresses outside Little League play opportunities. These actions to openly circumvent pitching rules were done with the endorsement of the team coaching staff as several are the players USSSA coaches.
